The Thot Plickens

This is becoming quite amusing. Eskom is now denying any knowledge of sabotage. Still no suspects arrested, either.

Oh, and in more election news, the local Islamic party has signs all over Cape Town promising to ban porn. I think it’s a typo. Surely they meant pork.🙂

  1. i think this is going to be the number one contender for “funniest post of the year”. no voting allowed though, i pretty much agree with your meritocracy idea.

erm. how can i know if i have the right to vote? my posts are generally more pathos than humour.

  2. i’m not sure how it works for south africans living abroad. I think you are able to vote but the registration process is probably a little more complicated.

But remember now, because you could vote and didn’t, you have obviously waived all rights to any opinion at all about the government of your country. Shame on you.

  3. I’m not surprised about this claim being fake, it’s just the old “Third Force” or “Mysterious Dude” defence again. It’s like a competition who can tell the biggest lie, Eskom or the Government.

  4. joo mees-unnersood. i meant voting for “funniest post of the year”. i really don’t give rocks that i missed the sa election.

like i could honestly be arsed to try and find the south african embassy here. and i’m in a foreign army. although the south african army has no problem with that (i have a letter from them and everything), and that fact that i don’t care enough to figure out the “issues” (pronounced incorrectly, sabc-style), i’d probably vote for that islamic party – just because i’m a sucker for irony.

would they throw away my vote if they knew what i was doing?

  5. The scary thing is I did not know we had a ‘local’ Islamic party.

There goes ‘informed’ as self-proclaimed attribute.

They are sure as hell (or maiden infested heaven) not active in my part of the country

Shame though, poster season would have been a lot more interesting …

  6. yeah, there were posters all over cape town. maybe they don’t bother to contest the rest of the country.

tw: indeed, i did misunderstand. voting will not be required. as far as my blog goes, i run things as a dictatorship.
