Why Bill Maher is my new favorite person

Bill Maher has given the 9/11 Truth Movement the honor and respect it deserves, by telling twoofer hecklers in his audience to get the fuck out of his building, and physically throwing them out himself.
Watch the video on youtube and tell me you do not like Bill Maher instantly.

And now, keep an eye on the comments because this post (like others about 9/11)  is bound to attract a host of people proving just how nuts the 9/11 Truth Movement is. Not to mention lending added validity to my point that anyone who feels the need to put the words ‘truth’ or ‘facts’ in the name of their movement, website or nom de blog, is pretty much guaranteed to be lying through their teeth.

  1. There does appear to be hope. See this blog post from an ex-trufer: http://extruther.blogspot.com/2007/09/letter-of-resignation.html

  2. residentRSole Says:

I thought that Maher was into a little bit of woo-woo. A lot of filthy rich people are.

  3. Con-Tester Says:

residentRsole: if I said, “George Bush”, would that be confirmation bias?

  4. residentRsole Says:

Con-Tester: Dunno. I’m not sure that I understand your point. Wouldn’t you agree that being wealthy can give one industrial-strength insulation from reality ? Loosely speaking, of course.
Sir Templeton is a super-rich, self-made man but still believes in the kind of things that you and I scoff at. Yes, maybe not all wealthy folk are woo-woos but it doesn’t hurt them too much if they are (within limits).

  5. Con-Tester Says:

residentRsole: No point, really, except that GB is wealthy and he’s a keen follower of the biggest woo-woo mankind has yet seen, while the 911 troofers like pointing the finger at him. So inter-woo-woo competitions are perhaps not all that unusual.

But yes, money does seem to facilitate, if not encourage, expeditions into the fathomless realms of stupid. Shirley MacLaine is a force unto herself, more than adequately offsetting the sum total of counterexamples.

  6. Ironically enough Maher himself is a truth denier and fabricator, at leas when it comes to vaccinations:

  7. Oh, and did not know about it. Thanks for the information …
